Framing studio

The framing studio is located inside the gallery at the Parkhurst premises. From here we consult, advise and quote on all framing requirements. All quotes are free of charge and obligation.

An artwork is not just an investment in monetary value, but also in cultural, historic and sentimental value. Art enlighten the soul; good framing should enlighten the artwork. The purpose of a frame is to protect and display the artwork. Through the use of negative space, colour blocking and shadow play, the framing style should compliment and enhance the artwork without becoming a distraction.

Over the past decade The Art Room has built good relationships with a number of artists, galleries,  consultants, interior decorators and private and corporate collectors. We are focused on continuous development of specialist knowledge and skill that ensure all the necessary requirements for preservation are met when framing the works. This includes acid-free mounts, backing and hinging methods.

All frames are made from wood at the factory premises where all manufacturing take place by hand. Colour finishes include wood stain, paint, gilding and patina. This versatility allow us to adapt to nearly any client request.

Large works can be collected from and delivered to client premises.
